Project Information

So the insert for my watch finally came in today! Here is my completed homemade watch.

It is cut from solid red oak, has brad nails for link pins, and is finished with 5 coats of spray gloss polyurethane.

To see how I made it, see my semi-tutorial blog.

I used 2 large (compared to the other style I found lol) magnetic clasps, as can be seen in the photos. (Made pictures easier too as I used the magnets to stick it to my car for natural light, and my fridge.)

Thanks Robert, was a lot of fun to build, and was sooo rewarding today when the insert finally arrived and I finally got to complete it.

One note: I will be replacing the magnetic clasps with a standard lobster claw clasp, as I have already had the watch pop off my arm once lol.
