Project Information
This is a rehab project. We had an oak and iron bench that we bought from Sam's several years ago. I knew nothing about protecting wood (and, frankly didn't care much) so over time, the bench became dilapidated.
I decided to dismantle it, replace the oak with cedar (to match other outdoor accouterments that I had built), refurbish the iron, then salvage as much of the original oak as I could. This is the result!
The first two pictures are of the rebuilt/refurbished bench; the third of the "old" bench and the last two of the "old' oak and the salvaged oak. Obviously, the forth picture was taken during the process.
