Project Information
On the weekend I was looking at some of the art I have, created by my Mom, and I realized that it is wood-art and so I'm going to show it off.
Wood: fungus
Process: sealed, painted, sealed again.
Process 2: admired.
I had originally tried attaching a picture to the fungus but that didn't work and so I asked my Mom, who enjoys painting, to paint a picture on the fungus. After the learning curve, she was off and running and has created dozens and dozens of these pieces of work. It typically takes her a couple hours to do a painting - a little more for the larger pieces as seen here.
She encorporates the wood into the pix. (such as twigs growing through the fungus and holes.) I think you can see such a hole in the one fungus shown here at Picasa
My Mom will be 80 this year.
