Project Information

This is a Lori Irish design which was offered by Lori as an on line seminar through Wood Carving Illustrated. (http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/f58/irish-pyrography-seminar-45085/) I found the seminar very helpful and I finally got the project finished tonight. I burned the design onto birch plywood using the Razortip tools. I photographed the picture with various lightings, hence the different color effect. The third photograph is more true to the picture.

Thank you for looking. Comments are very welcome.

This is beautiful work, Anna! I have never tried wood burning but one day I would really like to give it a go. You certainly have a lot of talent and ability in many different areas! You are quite an inspiration!

My wife got a wood burning tool for her crafting and sewing. I guess it is used to quickly seal and cut thread and ribbons. Looks like I might try to use it too. This project is awesome. Great job.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I find that the techniques that I have used in doing pen and ink drawings work well in doing some of the detail in woodburning.
This design is by Lora Irish - not Lori as I said in my little blurb! Thanks to John, one of my buddies for catching my typo. I always like to ensure I give the designer credit for the design - and that includes typing the name right! :)

You are a very talented lady. I can see you are a stickler for detail.

I did some woodburning several years ago but none to this caliber and detail. Keep up the good werk.
