Don't worry about the pics,the detail can easily be seen. I have never tried relief carving but I am about to try this. I don't imagine it is an easy skill to master.

I'd say this took closer to 12-14 hours or so. That's one thing I'm very bad at is keeping track of my time. I did this piece in the evenings a couple hours here and there, skipping days too. I wish I could have a shop, even if it's in a garage, that I can just go work in every day and make projects like this and the others I've posted. But, for some reason the bills don't pay themselves. Thanks for the kind comments.

Very nice, you're like me I guess, because people ask me how long it took,

but I carve for my own pleasure, & time means nothing at all.
