Project Information
Today i worked in the shop and saw that my sliding table is really off (not parallel at all to the blade) and all the material that I cut on it for a magazine rack I am building has to be cut again. You probably know how this feels….
So, instead I made a duck that wobbles when you walk it for my 1.5 years old. was very satisfying, I must confess. The most complex part was making the wheels as they have off center holes (that what makes the duck wobble). usually i use the holesaw for making wheels and it has a 6mm drill bit in the middle. I found out that I can remove the bit and if i drill really slow it works well enough.
took about an hour to make. its finished with furniture wax. my wife still has to decorate it a bit (eyes, etc).
its is made from scrap Rimu.
