This is the top from my circle cutter router table jig. We have some walnut, asian mahogany, and even a little piece of alder that found it's way into the composition. I wrapped it all up with some bubinga and four maple feet. It's finished with some good ole tough oil (best finish there is). The leg and sun disc are turned.
My favorite part of this though is the folding mechanism. Instead of the traditional hinged top, I got the idea for a twisting top. The top of the center leg is drilled and cut at opposit 45 degree angles with an accel. This allows the top to twist down into the folded possition. Its amszing to watch a that figured wood catch the light as the table spins up and down.
