Project Information
With impending arrival of our new twins, I decided to make a place for the dog to sleep. Because I wasn't convinced that I could make a safe and good looking pair of cribs in time so I mad a crib for the dog. What I ended up with is this Cherry and Maple dog crate which is held together with various types of knock-down hardware. It can be stored relatively flat by unbolting only 8 bolts. The babies arrived last week so I have been really busy but, with Grandma's help with the babies I was able to finish it up.
The dog is pretty good with the babies but he sometimes gets under foot and he doesn't mind being crated. He, like me, may like to a place to get away from the activity once the kids get more mobile.
The bonus to this is that I can use the top as a TV stand, too. Not that I'll have much TV time.
