Project Information

I received some veneer samples recently, and among a lot of pretty sheets was this one white tulipwood. I'm 90% sure that dye has been used here but it looks so natural and the white-on-white figuring has transitions that resemble a light bronze metal. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I've made a few of these bands in just the Tulipwood , in various widths. I hope you like what you see. All comments are welcome. I left more details of the process on a thread started by RANCE but I am glad to answer any questions here. Thanks.

I'm in the process of making simple rings and bracelets from as many exotic woods as I can bend. I hope to get feedback here, warts and all. So when you start to see lots of ring pictures it is for that purpose. Anyone wanting to discuss sales must do so privately please as I do not want to violate any forum policies. I'm here for the craft - not the marketing.

Very nice. I am puzzled by your intent though. Are this napkin rings or something else?

Thanks for sharing.

I guess it's the macro photography - everything looks huge. This is a size 8 ring….for a finger. Worn wood Jewelry. And thanks for the comment.

As a suggestion for future posts, perhaps include a photo with something else to give a size prospective. Maybe a picture of the ring or bracelet being worn?

XQuietFlyX - I have to make a video or two for my etsy account so when those are done I will post them or link to them. Meanwhile, I posted on a thread by RANCE so I'll just cut-n-paste it here:

meanwhile I'll IM you the steps I posted on RANCE's thread.
