nice chair. it's always nice to see your work in the background too :)

can you tell a bit more about the upholstery? did you do it yourself? are they store bought cushions that you designed around…?

AaronK I did not do the upholstry. I went to a fabric center with intentions to get two fabrics but ended up with 3…
Monte,Doc,Joe,Knot,Grizzzzzz, Aaron thank you for the nice comments.

Grizz you will be happy to know that the shop has been cleaned up quite a bit. got rid of lots and lots of scrap and did a bit of organizing. I agree it is a never ending battle.

Nice. They look really good together - it's interesting that they are all different but coordinated.

My plan is to one day build a couch, so I'm curious about peoples' takes on upholstery.

I spent quite a bit of time choosing the fabric, I knew the look I wanted to create. What is funny is that I orginally thought the green and white was going to be my favorite but the way the orange brown blue lights up the oak made that one my favorite. I do feel the bottom cushion should have been 3" foam instead of the 4" but hindsight is 20/20.

great looking chair. I really like the picture of the side view. It shows the style of the chair really well.

Love the chair! I have one similar that I believe to be from the late 50s. Mine is a little lower.
I think the thicker cushion is about right. It looks good. The orange and brown does look better with the oak. It's a good color for your home as well.
