I rough-cut the wood about 3 weeks before I really started on it (had other things to finish up). Once I got going on it, it took about 2 weeks, where most of that time was sanding and finishing. After I glued the panels, all of the dimensioning, surfacing, joinery, dadoes, etc, only took a day.
