Project Information

This is a stool i made for the walnut desk i won the contest with, as most of you know i have a lot of back problems and can't sit for any real length of time, but i wanted something i could sit on for the times i do want to sit, so staying within the walnut theme i made a small stool , its made from a 2 inch thick slab of walnut, it has three legs that are wild cherry and the stabilizing wood in the front is a piece of oak, i sanded this down with 600 grit and wet sanded it with the same, after i wiped up the oil and let it dry some i put several coats of Bri wax on it, it sits really well and gives me just what i need, thanks folks for looking in.

Beautiful, Bob!

A three legged stool will never rock! Just ask any old farmer who had to milk cows by hand!!

Another winner Grizz. Nature created a beautiful piece of wood (the walnut) and left the rest up to you. You didn't disappoint!

That is a really awesome and super nice stool and a great match for the walnut desk…However, I would be real careful, cautious and look twice before sitting down…

Beautiful stool but I agree with Greg: don't sit on one of those points! Love the bowtie!

yes i know the stool has a few careful points, the plan was for a chair, but things happened that i cant take the time to write about so this is what came of it, it will be just fine, and i know where to sit and where not to…and if for some reason something happens, i can still lay here and look at the pretty walnut, or if i fall off of it and lose my memory, then i won't matter anyway will it…
