Project Information

This is a pair of sconces I designed and built for my daughter and her husband for Christmas. They are made of walnut with rice paper/styrene shade material. Each sconce has two 13 watt Sylvania micro-mini CFL bulbs. The sconces are 25 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" wide and 7 1/2" deep.

Amazing, Randy. you did it again. absolutely fantastic, i just eat this stuff up!

care to share construction notes?
1. can we get a pic of the inside?
2. that vertical piece between the wall panel and the shade - is it one continuous piece? how is it joined to the three supports?
3. what do the screws do?

I've been looking for paper like that but in a rustic brown. Where did you get your paper?

Thanks for all the comments. The shade material is from The Lamp Shop http://www.lampshop.com/ and is item no. R280 White Rice Paper - by the YD. They also have other shade materials.

You can also visit my web site http://www.randallprice.com to see a podcast of assembling a lampshade using this material.

Thanks,

Randy

Do you have any pictures of what it looks like with the rice paper off? How you set up the light housing, etc.? Oh. I just realized you posted a video link. That probably shows it.
