Project Information

One of my latest projects. This is a solid walnut jewelry box with a crotch figured lid. The corners are miter joints with dovetail keys. The hinges are solid brass stopped hinges. Lining is black velvet on the bottom and in the trays. The finish is a base of Danish oil and then several coats of amber shellac.

Greg! Great to see ya… That wood looks pretty cool I am betting it looks even better in person. I really like all the compartments.

Thanks Chris…between traveling a lot this summer and the day job, I haven't spent as much time in the shop as I like. I still quite haven't gotten the photography part down but it is getting a bit better. Need to get the gray scale down better. You need to come out sometime soon.

Greg, catching up sounds good. Perhaps sometime this fall. I could use some escape time from the park.
