ColonelTravis the legs go from 1 7/8" down to 1". The taper starts 5 1/2" down just below the drawer/apron.

My wife tells me this is my next project and these are exactly what I had envisioned. Now I can show her your pics because she never understands my hand gestures and explanations and I don't draw good pictures.
