Very beautifull pieces of furniture, and I encourage you to do the rest, now you don't have no choice.

I used General Finishes Arm-R-Seal satin everywhere besides the drawers. There I used shellac. Oh and the knobs are finished with classic Briwax (although I don't think I'll get the Classic Briwax again, it's a little too liquidy for Texas weather I think)
