Project Information

hey guys , just finished a dove tail saw i've been wanting to build (for sliding dove tails in carcass work)
had to go old school and try my hand at some fiddle scrolls (these 4 were all i wanted , for now) but really fun to work out i cut down a old miter saw for a back saw in the works and had this scrap left over thought of making a card scraper but glad i went this way , thoughts? OH and the slab it is sitting on is"Mesquite" FYI
and thanks for looking

Is the saw blade angled to make the dovetail sides? Neat little tool.

The fiddle scrolls really set this tool apart.

Wow that has to be the fancyest dovetail saw i have ever seen! Nice work. Going to make a violin next?
How is it to use?
And how do you keep the exct angle?
Would love to see some pictures of it in use!

I am working on a dove tail plane to match the 10 degrees that i beveled the bottom of the saw to ,will take some picsof it in use and as to how it is to use … because the push angle is so parallel to the cutting its very natural feeling ,
Which is what i was hoping ,ive seen this style and used the other (saw handle design) which works ,but that soapbox another time.. thanks all will drop other pics soon

Beautiful saw! Is the blade depth adjustable like on a stair saw? Thanks for sharing.
