Love the imperfections and live edge. The finish with the grain really makes it stand out. Excellent job !!! Mel

What's so good about that? Almost every bowl I try to make ends up looking similar to that.

Just kidding, that is so cool. How can that be turned without it flying apart? It has an ancient artifact look

Hi John, this was the piece that was supposed to be throw away when the burl was flattened for the last two flat slabs from it. I could not throw it away! I get so few burls.

Hi Brian, this walnut burl did not have the beautiful pattern I got out of the hard maple burl I got a few years ago.

It's beautiful timber and the craftsmanship has certainly used the fault to advantage making a gorgeous bowl.
