Project Information

This is my second completed piece of furniture. Finished a couple weeks ago. Traded this walnut bookcase to my brother in exchange for his mechanical knowledge and assistance.

The core and back are walnut veneered plywood and the top, face frame, and kick are solid. Finished with Rubio mono coat. My 5 year old approved :)

Thanks for looking.

Walnut is a winner and your use in this bookcase is great. I like the inclusion of the sapwood. And you know 5-year-olds are a good source for honest feedback, so her approval is evidence of a job well-done. ;)

I like the under-stated details. Is it your design?

Thanks again, J. And yes, this was my first attempt at any sort of design.

That is no joke, BB. They tell it how they feel. Appreciate the comment, again.

It's super cool! Like people say, the sapwood accent makes it even more attractive! Great job:)
