Project Information

I made this wall cabinet for my son's bedroom many many months ago. Only recently I managed to hang it by myself (without a helping hand). Made out of thin plywood mostly, except the drawer and the moldings.

In fact I made the raised panel doors for this cabinet but he wanted it just bare like that. Maybe I will make another one the same size so as I can use the doors I already made.

Thanks for looking.

Nice looking cabinet. Perfect for displays. I have a similar problem, doors previously made and now trying to determine what to build around them.

Very nice work Masrol.
I'm sure your son loves it even more knowing his father made it for him.
Good job.

Good, clean work, "neighbour". Particularly like the beading detail highlighting the drawer. Nicely done.

Marsol,
This is very reminiscent of a Shaker cabinet. The beauty of the simple, clean lines is universal!
Nice Work!!!

Very nice. Can you give more info about the plywood and how you did the edges, and finish ?

WW,

Nice, clean, functional build. I like it. The doors will come in handy again I'll bet. How is the new shop coming?

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words.

SuburbanDon; the cabinet box is made of 1/8" playwood, reinforced by frameworks as shown in the pics above.
I hide out the edges with wood veneer of the same species. Finished with 3-layer of wipe-on shellac and beeswax buffed.

Nice job. Hanging wall cabinets have always been difficult to design for me. This one looks really good.

That's a wonderful cabinet. First class job. And congrats on hanging it alone.
