That is neat. I've made several frames like that, but not on purpose. Just kidding, I really do like it. Your work is unconventional, but very clever and well done.

Now that is an interesting piece. I love the wood and the finish. I am sure that this is the first thing visitors notice when they come into the room.

Nice looking frame - I particularly like the curved detail on the inside - looks great refelected like that.

Definitely diggin' the funk! I love how the "top" is the same angle as the slanted ceiling (at least in the first picture). Keeps you guessing which way is up and whether you took you medication. Very original.

Great woodworking and finishing. My bride is too traditional to allow something like that here, though.

i should have been more specific as to the type of mahogany i used. it is African mahogany (or ribbon stripe). i did the best i could to match the stripes as they go around. For finish i used a catalyzed lacquer, nothing special, just 3 coats, scuffed with 220 between each.
