heres a heart box i made for my wife for valentines. its white oak from an old church pew. finish is just wipe on poly. it looks like a real simple box but i spent a lot of time on this. mostly fixing tear out from the router while trying to cut the pattern. a lot of sanding went into this lol. the lid rotates on a brass pin with another pin as a stop. anyways pictures arent that great but it gives you the idea.
