Bubinga Beautiful African Timber :: Available in USA :: search online and perhaps try E-bay..
Larry here in England probably 99% of all timber available and used is rubbish soft Scandanavian pine . As a small Island we import huge amounts of things and timber here in the UK is around 5 times the price as the USA.
I managed to stumble on a small independent importer of rare timbers from Africa and south America who supplies the high end cabinet makers for the very rich ! He sells me the odd few planks for my hobby.
You may be well suprised what hardwood timber you will find for sale in small amounts local around Hawaii on E-bay.. if not there will be people in the US who will send you $100 s of timber off cuts by airmail.
I like the look of your local timber Larry your projects look really good.

Thanks for the pictures Bazz. How do you crush the stones you have imported or do they ship it that way to you? I have used molding clay the same way (had to bake the small piece in the stove) but never tried crushed rock

Hi Larry :: I bought the Turquoise chips off E-bay for around er $10 they are quite small like bead size and I just wrapped them in a cotton cloth and beat them with a hammer till they powdered.
I have today via e-bay received a batch of green Malachite stones to try and I have also got quite a bit of Opal coming over from Australia . If the Opal works out I might start to trade it as my cousin is a Opal trader and he has offered to supply me . I have not tried the clay but did try Glitter Nail polish mixed with epoxy resin with some interesting effects..
