Project Information
This bass took me the better part of a year to finish. It has hard maple sides ,neck and back, the top is western red cedar. I built forms and steam bent the sides. the tuner head scroll is all hand carved, along with the curved fingerboard. It stands just over 6 feet tall. The guy at the sawmill didn't believe me when i told him what i was going to use the maple for. It sounds good, although I cant play a note, my son can play it but mostly it's just a conversation piece.
Added a few pics of the build but I didn't take very many. Pics are of plywood form, neck, and clamping/gluing .
