How did you get the 2×4 chair back side to angle like that? I've probably seen lumber that bent at the big box stores, but I was thinking a cut-down 2×8 or something. I might have to find the plans for that, although just be looking at it I have a good idea of how to build it.

That would be ideal for the wife and me - only with the middle bit a little higher. Nice job that looks as though it wil give many years of service.

Greg, your right on the back leg supports. They are cut out on a bandsaw from a 2×8. The 2×8 are also used for the ends of the armrest to give it the curves.

is it wrong to ask ya where you found the plans?? I had a site with the plans for a bench like this and cannot find the plans or the site now …. looks great

steve try the angled bench no real problems just look at it as 2 single chairs joined with an angled table,
could also be turned towards each other!
