Showcase cover image for Two Drawer File Cabinet

Project Information

I recently made this file cabinet from plans in WS mag. It will replace an old metal one I've hated for years. The false drawer fronts were an interesting twist on this they're supposed to look like single card files like in the library (when I was a kid) and once it was completed I came to appreciate it more. As I have to do most of the time, I used a lot of "extra" wood I had left over from other projects. Of course like all plans that call for ¾ plywood and dimension it that way, (The box stores only sell the slightly thinner size) so that is challenge in itself. It would be nice to have an unlimited budget for lumber one of these days!!! The stain is MinWax Golden Oak and the finish is the usual mix Polly/Boiled Linseed oil/Mineral Spirits.

Thanks for looking and of course all comment welcome.
