Project Information

I've been wanting to make one of these for some time. You don't see them very often and I didn't have a pattern to go by but I thought I would try my luck. I wanted a block that would fit my hand and found just the right off cut from some cherry.

The trick to this style is that you don't need a screw or wedge to lock the shaft, but only a twist of the shaft to lock it solid. The pin was cut from a carbide tipped masonry bit that was trashed at the point. I used a flat cut spear point shape for a slicing cut. Enjoy your weekend, Spring has sprung !
