Project Information

this is a set a tv trays i made for for my neighbor, he was in a terrible car accident, rolled three times and spent the next three months in ICU, 2 of those months was in a forced coma, he just came home on friday and i knew i wanted to do something for him and his wife, so i made these trays, there are 2 of them with different woods in each, one is cherry handles with walnut and red cedar, the other is walnut handles with a large walnut center piece and red cedar with spalted oak , i was so happy to do something for them and she served him breakfast saturday morning on his new tray…he still is not able to walk very good, basically gets up to his walker and to the toilet…his very good friend bought him an electric go cart, i got into it when i took the trays over, it sure is a zoomer…but i would rather be able to walk then have to use that…so many people in the world go through things like this, and i pray for themA i thanks God for the blessings of being able to walk, these trays are finished with 4 coats of spray lacquer, the cherry handled one is my favorite…thanks for looking in…grizzman

Very nice gesture Bob. It must be pretty depressing recovering like that. I agree, we who have freedom of movement and relatively good health should always be grateful for what they have and not sour about what they don't have.

Love the trays and he will too. Maybe a stand to set them on when he has trouble getting out of bed? Just thinking outside the box, :<)

thank you lew for your kind words, and thank you all for your support of my wood work, i do love people and my thoughts of how we should treat one another has come from my beliefs in Christ and his love for us, i know were not suppose to talk of religion here, but i will say this…and just thank you all for being so kind…i've been feeling better and my back problems have been eased lately…so i've been in the shop more and have loved it…i've got so much wood to use and i just love being able to work…its great…have a good week folks…bob
