A friend gave me some roots of a tree he took down figuring I would use them for smoking meat. But it looked so unique that I thought why not see what happens if put on the lathe. First had to clean all the dirt and loose pieces of it then figure out how to hold it on the lathe. The base and some of the smaller pieces were turned nicely and finished it with Seal Coat then spray lacquer. Mounted it on a piece of Rosewood for stability
