Project Information
I made this as a last minute gift for my wife's mother.. I used some Huon Pine I brought back from Tasmania recently and matched it up with some New Guinea Rosewood.
The arcs were cut on the bandsaw using a variation of the Patron Jig… I have mentioned and used it several times on here…
The tray appears to be floating due to the supports being set in a little from the ends.
Size is 18 inches by 12 inches and the main base of the tray is 1/2 inch thick.
A small stip of felt is glued to the support feet to stop the tray scratching the table..
Unfortunately the finish is not all I expected… it will teach me not to spray in rainy weather…It takes so long to dry..
