My studio is in the second story of my garage. Actually it's an old barn. The house was built circa 1892 by one of the town doctors. At one time the barn housed a horse and sled. The maintenance logs for the doctor's cars, going back to 1923, are written on the walls, and there are ads for places his family visited all about. Very cool place to work! The associated pics are two of my granfather's tools that I managed to rebuild. They are in fine working order!

So that was my old shop. Since relocating to CA I've had to downsize a bit. While I now work in a more modular fashion, there is one really nice aspect to working in a limited space - I have to keep things orderly and clean.

Andrew, these are some nice looking tools that you have in your shop. It looks like you did a nice restoration on the lathe. I really enjoy seeing vintage tools, such as these, given a new lease on life. It looks like you have a pretty cool shop in which to work. Your grandfather's lathe and the table saw seem to be right at home in there.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed taking a look at your shop.
