Project Information

I'm not sure if this was my fourth project or not but it was still one of the first, done the same way, in the driveway with a borrowed skilsaw. I continued putting the pocket hole jig to use here. It's 3/4 cabinet grade ply with the legs bolted on. No finish other than sanding - if it ever gets too dirty I'll just paint it. The train set has grown considerably since this photo - amazing all that you can fit on this thing. It's the same size as the Thomas sets you see in the stores. I just measured those and went from there. Thanks for looking at all my un-fine woodworking projects!

Good thing my son can't read this or I'd get no rest until I built one. Nice table.

Rob,

This is a nice table for the train set. I would rather see something hand made, as this is, as opposed to going to a store and buying one.

Well done.

I wish I would have went that route, making a decent table and buying a decent train set. We bought a table/train set from Sams Club and the quality is really lacking.
