Wow… My unborn son REALLY wants one of these. I don't know how my pregnant wife can tell that he wants one of these, but she assures me that he does. In about six weeks I suppose I'll get the privilege of asking him myself and accepting . . . well pretty much any noise at all as a "Yes Daddy. Please build me one of those". I'd better get busy!!!

Hey there Jim… Unfortunately & like many of my other projects, the idea starts in my noggin & just gets a few calculations scratched down on a note pad. That's usually as far as I get things recorded & many projects end up a "One-of-a-Kind" item (some people seem to like knowing that they have had a one-of-a-kind project made for them). If you look at the last toy box I made, I made the same basic box with a few fancy twists. Sometimes I see a photo of an item I would like to make & then start with the overall size that I want & use the photo of the item to figure out the ratios of height to width, length to depth, overall height to leg or foot height, etc.. This Mini Armoir was made just that way by starting with a catalog photo & the overall dimensions given in the description. I would just start with the over-all dimensions of the box you desire to make & add any detail, caculate the stiles, rails & panels, add a design for the feet and back & start cutting.
