Project Information
As you can see .. no matter how hard I try my bench top is always a mass of organized chaos while working on a project. As such tasks such as setting up a mitre box then removing it and moving on to the next step only to have to scoot everything back out of the way to set it back up has made it sit unused a lot of the time simply because I couldn't be bothered the trouble lol.
I had an idea last night of a mitre box station that hangs onto the back of my workbenches toolwell so it can be left up and still leave my benchtop "available" (as much as it ever is) for other tasks without setup time wasted.
So after thinking about it all night I got busy this morning throwing caution to the wind and putting this together.
Here are more pics of the mounting brackets and how it is all held together..
The whole thing is anchored in place by 2 wing nuts that thread into 2 threaded holes in the underside of the back toolwell wall.
I plan to make a movable board jack to hang next to it for cutting longer stock but that is for another day.
Thanks for looking!
