About twenty years ago I purchased an inexpensive tool set that I keep in my truck. It had come in handy over the years, however: the case being plastic with plastic hinges and catch has finally broken off. With a winters day I thought I'd build a wood case that could house the tool holders. I used 1/2 inch pine with walnut splines and 1/4 inch birch plywood for the top and bottom. The hardware is stuff I had salvaged from other discarded cases.
