Looks good. How do you attach the head?

Hi Kate , on this cane I reduced the size of the top of the spruce shaft down to create a dowel at the top and then drilled a hole in the bottom of the handle to recieve the dowel . But when attaching an antler handle I will use a 4 inch hanger bolt [a bolt with wood threads on one half and machince threads on the other half] and tap threads into the antler to recieve the machince threads of the hanger bolt.

Love this cane. How much? Also, can you add color such as blue to the bird head? Thanks!

Yes of coarse, there are many ways to colour wood. Lots of stains, and coloured dyes that you can mix your self that allow you make the dye as dark or light as you wish. Here is a link to an example → HERE . But I'm sorry this cane has been sold already.
