Project Information

My original intent was to use hickory for the entire box. Once again I have found hickory to be challenging and I also had a lot of trouble with my attempts at mitered corners. I was not able to find a remedy so shifted to using ash and then the hickory for the corners and the top. Finished with general finishes 450.

I like it. It's got a bit of a '50s look to it. Either that, or Japanese. I can't decide.

Excellent!
The biggest challenge I've found with making these is keeping the size down so they don;t look chunky. You have succeeded with illusion. The "frame" stye construction and wood choice really work well.
