Project Information

Wood And Materials Used
Rimu, Titebond
Tools Used
Table saw
Location
New Zealand
A needed a project to play around with at night to not annoy the neighbors with power tools... this is somehow what I settled on.

I will never be able to afford a real Nakashima piece, so I'll have to make do with this.

Made with Rimu (I think), titebond and good intentions.

Glamour shots:

I used to hang out in Newhope, P.A., where Nakashima had his shop - never knew he was there. His daughter still runs the shop, last I heard.

It is a fine copy of His style.

That is Brilliant! Wonderfully crafted…And the presentation? The humor with the dramatic music and professional cinematography…well played!
“Why?“ Well ”Why not?” works…but I like…”Because you could.”
Lot of talent displayed in both woodworking and imagination Peace. Bravo! Standing Ovation and associated accolades are due!

I agree. Why not? Very clever and creative. Love the dramatic music combined with the humorous shopping list. And the project itself? It takes skill to make something that small look that good. Perfection. Thanks for posting...

Really nice! Reminds me a little of the miniature furniture on a Canadian show from the 60's and 70's called the Friendly Giant. Not the same style obviously, but still pretty cool and brings back childhood memories.
