Project Information
I introduce to you "Tibet" the Elf Wizard. He really turned out great! He's a very wise soul. He is always cheery, even under huge pressure. "Tibet" has such a wonderful energy and lifts the spirits of all that he is around. He inspires the Elves to pitch in and they all have such a Wonderful time doing anything just because they are together. Peace and Joy are always with him, wherever he goes. He is loved by all and welcomed in all woodland gatherings.

I have flattened the back so that he hangs on the wall. He measures 8" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" deep.
He is carved out of an old growth pine knot. A pine knot is what a branch does when it goes into the trunk of a pine tree. The tree dies, rots and falls over, and the trunk eventually rots away leaving the knot. Very few of these are good to carve as the sun bakes them and eventually the critters eat them. It is my favorite wood to carve faces and fish with.
The pine knots do change color over time. Some change quickly and some change slowly. They go from a light yellow to an orange color, I am assuming from the UV light. Some are deeper orange than others. The orange color is a much warmer color than the yellow. I like it just as well.
