They are 9"x7"x5" and the bottoms are
Paul…thanks much. That is about as nice as a compliment as I can getVery nice Greg.
You know, I get so caught up in looking at your newest design series that I sometimes take the flawless joinery for granted. Design aside, your boxes are about as perfect as could be imagined. Bring the design element back and they are just …. well ….. perfect.
They seem to have grown from a seed rather than being assembled from separate pieces of wood.
I haven t understood the time thing since they stopped with the …... days ago or ….... hours ago. That made sense. I have no idea why they changed it.
Quilted Mable gotta love it!
Do not be too concerned about the time, its an old confidence trick/scam invented by the swiss many years ago.
I think the scam was first discovered by the military so they tried to get things done by using 24Hr time,... that failed too!
No doubt the introduction of metric time will fix everything
BTW where is the third box !! or are we now being subjected to optical illusions as well.
Rob…If you look closely at the grain configuration patterns of the Maple on the second and third boxes you will notice they are different from each other. The small details make the distinction in telling them apart.
Thanks Roger…that is a very kind and most generous comment coming from you, the master box maker. I always try to evolve and improve on what I create…sometime it works and sometimes, well…not so muchGreg,
Yup, Paul said it very well. I m particularly taken with #1, though. It has a really nice balance and harmony going. The woods and the details seem to just flow into one another. That level of harmony is difficult to achieve, and you make it look easy.
hey Bill…thanks. I try to make each one better than the last one but it doesn't always work out that way. I used 95 degree stop hinges on bothWow Greg, I can t add much to what has already been said. I think your boxes are getting better every time you post a new one, I like it more that the previous one. How are the last two boxes lidded, with a hinge pin or with hinges?
