Project Information

This is a cutting board for Grandson Jack's 1st grade teacher Mrs. Horning. Jack always wants to help Grandpa no matter what kind of project I am doing, we work well together & I value every minute I spend with him. I came up with this idea & he thought it was a good one so we worked through it as he had time, Ha Ha. Thank you Mrs. Horning for teaching Jack and your other students basics they will use every day for the rest of their lives, you are so important in their journey to the future.

All that being said I do not have an uploadable photo of the cutting board, the photos were taken outside & are over the 5MB limit, so they would not upload on LJ? The board was the "paddle" type & made with Walnut, Cherry, & Maple. Thanks for lookin…........................Proud Grandpa Jack

The present is satisfied. The future is born! The cutting board was only a catalyst.

Excellent work Jack and Grandpa Jack. A nice gift to spend time with your grandson and a nice gift made for the teacher.

Very cool gift. Your grandson looks like he is on his way to be a LumberJock himself. Keep working with him :) He'll remember it forever.

My daughter has given a pen to each of her teachers the past few years and they are floored and love them so much as they know she made it and it was not something just bought at a store. Just a thought for the future I take pictures of my daughter working in the shop on her gifts and then make them into a small postcard that goes along with the gift, so they can see that she made it for them and it wasn't all.
