Project Information

Well, the shingles are not exactly on the roof in the normal sense, however, they will be tomorrow. The skylight openings are cut and the lights themselves are ready except for the one that cracked when four of them came sliding off of the roof where the delivery men had stacked them. We have hardiboard on four sides except for the gable on one end. Still no front door or sliding door…....but, all things come to she who waits….or so they say.

So, tomorrow the roofers and maybe the electrician too. I have decided to panel the walls and the ceiling with 1/2 inch OSB. And I'm going to wait a couple of months for the cement to dry before I decide whether to stain or epoxy paint the floor.

Even with the roofers here tomorrow, this weekend is for me to rest and maybe read a book. If the electrician does come Saturday, I will have to work with him to make sure that everything goes as planned. If he doesn't show until Monday, then I will get the down time to enjoy. I have managed to keep the house up during all of this activity, and I cut the lawn yesterday….so I should have some free time for sure on Sunday.

Hope all of you lumberjocks get to fiddle in the shop and enjoy yourselves.

Don't forget to put several lights in your attic space. A good book sounds splendid. Enjoy your journey. Al

Are you going to insulate it yourself before the OSB board is installed?

Looking good.

Really rolling along now. You will have time to turn out some Christmas presents in the shop for yourself and others. Enjoy the much deserved rest.
God bless

Starting to shape up and excited for you. When we built our shop we put in water heat in the floor. Just love that. Anyways when I painted the floor a dark blue (hubby's color choice), my husband wanted his the one color and on "my side" I sponged painted it grey over the blue. The reason was on my side you can't see the mess on the floor as much as you can see on my husbands side. Even when someone walks on his side you can see where they walked. Now he wishes I had done his that way. I'll be watching your progress enjoying the pictures.

I put 2 part epoxy garage floor paint on my shop floor and will never have another shop or garage without the this finish on it. Cleanup is a breeze. I love it.
