Project Information

A customer bought one of my pieces and later saw one of my auctions with a qtr white sawn oak frame.
He requested a reframe. Finally figured out his budget and agreed to make him a 100 dollar frame. Figured I could make 4 identical frames and still make out ok when I sell the remaining three.

Gold frame is his original purchase. Oak is finished with dark oak alchohol dye and Minwax Red Mahogany with button/ seedlac mix shellac. Dark wax.

Dan,

Very nice work. I think that I ike the re-framed version better. The Oak just seems to be in more harmony with the tile.

Hi Dan;

Nice to see a man with his head screwed on straight!

As previously posted here, you do good work!

you underestimate your art. Your work is worth way more than $100 in this culture.

I paid over $300 for a frame shop frame, that was three years ago, and it looks like a frame shop frame. 4 boards, all mitered and shot together with a fancy wiggle staple, and 1/8" glass. I'll make my own next time.

Great work as always Dan.

Great job, Dan. I think I like the new one best but the old one is really fine as well. Just different tastes.

I like both,but prefer the darker one.
I agree with Mark on pricing.I believe you could charge alot more, and probably see your sales increase to boot.

IMHO :)
