This is the third in the series of furniture for mum, which will be now called the 'Diane Collection'.
Frame is all solid tassie oak, the side panels are veneered MDF, which has a more 'straw' colour than the typical tassie oak pinkish hue. Full extension drawer slides were a hard sell ("they're so much more expensive!", mum protested)... until she actually used them and was amazed at how far the drawers came out.
Drawer boxes are just plywood with locking rabbets, with false fronts.
You may notice there is no hardware/pulls - mum wanted the false fronts themselves to be the 'pull', so there is a 30 degree angle to hook your fingers onto. It… works well enough, though not my cup of tea.
Overall I find it a bit bland - some sort of contrast, perhaps on the faceframe or the false fronts, would make it look better. However, its what mum wanted and she likes it, and really its designed to sit in the corner and hide collections of junk.
