As a gift for my wife I made this clock from the project plans in the August 2007 issue of Popular Woodworking. My wife had requested it be made of Cherry and colored similar to our other furniture, so I did as she asked and used an aniline dye for color. There were a lot of new techniques for me in this project including making the cove moldings on the table saw, and adding the detail on the head above the face door. The plans were well written with some additional web based support from the publishers. Most of the hardware had sources listed except for a couple of hinges no longer available. Woodcraft helped me locate similar hinges.
