Project Information

Here is my completed Battleshots / Beer Pong set. I have been wanting to make a Battleshots set for a while but when I saw a similar design, knew a multi-purpose portable table would be ideal for the man cave, parties, and of course hauling to Tuscaloosa for a little tailgating. I went with poplar boards for the frame, cabinet grade birch for the tops and bottom. For the scoring grid, used the chalkboard paint, works great!
Those are window locks for the top panels and the folding legs can be purchased from Home Depot for $25. My vinyl cutter came in handy as well! All-in, I have about $95 in supplies (counting vinyl and everything.) If you had to pay someone for the decals, then add about $65.
Thanks for looking and hope you like it.

Farraha97 - I don't have any formal plans for the main table part, I pretty much designed as I went. I do have some plans, templates that I made for the ships, which were all cut out of 1' poplar. I also have the vector file I made for my vinyl cutter. Would be glad to send to you if you are interested. Just shoot me your email.

The pictures are great. Very cool idea. Great craftsmanship. The overall size appears to be a full 4×8 sheet of plywood or a standard folding table? No problems with the vinyl staying attached to the chalk paint?

Where did you find the svg files you used for the vinyl cuts? They're awesome!

LOADDMA - Thanks for the post. It did take nearly a full sheet of plywood for the tops and bottom. No issue with good vinyl sticking to any surface. I use the Oracal 651 grade vinyl, hit it with a little heat and it will stick to anything!

Interested in a list of materials, measurements, and files if you don't mind. I've been wanting to make one of these since I've bought my home. Anything is greatly appreciated. You can email me at [email protected]
