TENÍA ÉSTA MÁQUINA DE VARIAS FUNCIONES, DEL AÑO 1960 Ó 70 APROXIMADAMENTE: USABA LA SIERRA Y LA LIJADORA PERO LA RANURA DE LA GARLOPA ERA MUY PELIGROSA PARA TRABAJAR EN UNA SUPERFICIE LIMITADA.
DECIDÍ USAR LA SIERRA SOLAMENTE Y CONSTRUÍRLE UNA MESA ACORDE CON SU ANTIGUEDAD ;-)
TENGO UNA SIERRA DE MESA DE 1500 KW EN DONDE HAGO TODOS LOS CORTES, PERO ÉSTA SIERRA ME SERÁ DE MUCHA UTILIDAD PARA CORTES DE TABLAS PEQUEÑAS CUANDO HAGO JUGUETES ;-)
SU MOTOR ES DE 3/4 HP DE POTENCIA Y TRABAJA MUY BIEN EN PEQUEÑOS ESPESORES DE TABLAS ;-)

I like it. Don't be scared, Alistair, he's not. I've seen his work before, and I understand how he thinks, too. I'd rather build one than buy one. I searched the web for home made tablesaws and found very few modern ones. They used to do it all the time, but now people have forgotten how to make due with what they have. This guy is a thinker who is not afraid to try. After all, you only die once. He'll probably get to do it in a spectacular way.

GRACIAS DOUG:
YO USÉ LA MÁQUINA COMO SE LA VÉ EN LA PRIMERA FOTO MUCHOS AÑOS HASTA QUE EN ENERO DE 2012 ME CORTÉ LA PUNTA DEL DEDO CON LA GARLOPA!!!!!!
FUE AHÍ QUE ME DECIDÍ A USARLA SÓLO COMO SIERRA Y CON UNA SUPERFICIE DE TRABAJO MÁS AMPLIA Y MENOS PELIGROSA ;-)
GRACIAS POR TUS COMENTARIOS!!!!!! TE ENVÍO UN ABRAZO (..)*
  • THANKS DOUG:
I use the machine as is seen in FIRST PHOTO IN MANY YEARS UNTIL JANUARY OF 2012 I cut my finger tip with the planer!!
WAS THERE I decided to use it only as SAW AND WORKING WITH A WIDER AREA AND LESS DANGEROUS ;-)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS!! SENDING YOU A HUG (. .)

I like Woodgears, too. I would like to build one of their band saws, and I've seen lots of other tools that I like. The table saws are hard to find, though. I had bought an old Craftsman and tore the guts out of it. It has the motor, arbor, lift and tilt screws, and the trunions, it just needed a better table. I am still convinced that I could build a servicable table saw around it, but I found a good saw that was too cheap to pass up. Maybe I'll still build one someday, after the bandsaw and a dovetail jig.

TU COMENTARIO PARECE RARO!!!!! DEBE DE HABERSE ACUMULADO MUCHA NIEVE EN TU ANTENA PARABÓLICA JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA
EN LO QUE SE REFIERE A AGREGAR MÁS SUPERFICIE DE PLYWOOD A LA TABLE-SAW, PLANEO HACERLE UN CARRO AL COSTADO CON RODAMIENTOS PARA IR Y VENIR CON LA PIEZA A CORTAR COMO TIENEN LAS SIERRAS ESCUADRADORAS ;-D
TE MANDO UN GRAN ABRAZO Y FELÍZ SEMANA SANTA!!!!!!!
