Nice, did you use the fibonacci gauge for this project?

Hawkdriver,

Thanks for your comment.
I'm back to my addiction - making table lams.
Hazard a guess that I've made at least 13 lamps with assorted variations.
New ideas keep surfacing and improvements come with each one.

Mafe,

You got a sharp eye to have picked out the fibonacci gage next to the lamp!
I tried testing the lamp with the fibonacci gage but no luck.

Have battled tried to get the gage accurate; checked the mm measurements as posted on web
but still not happy.

Have a great day, my friend.

Nice, do you have any issues with solid wood constantly being heated by a light bulb?

Rex,

I believe this issue came up on LJ when someone first posted his FLW table lamp creation.
Several pointed out that constant heating eventually lowers the kindling point of wood,
creating a fire hazard.

The original FLW table lamp used an incandescent bulb. (1930 design )

I have had my table lamp in the bedroom for several years with no ill effects.

It has a fluorescent lamp that screws into the brass socket.

Hope this answers your inquiry.

MrsN,

Look in my projects to one about 694 days ago.
There are more detailed pictures and some measurements that should
give you a clearer idea how I managed the project.

Good luck!
