I include a photo of our first shop, which was really an interior room in our basement. We started to acquire tools so that my kids and I could make pinewood derby cars and other crafty type projects.

My father in law is an advanced wood worker, over the years he has shown me what a great hobby wood working can be…hey, we all have to have something to keep us busy when we retire right.

We moved in 2005 and I decided to give up parking in the garage so I could become a more serious wood worker.

I now have a table saw, chop saw, bandsaw, and the other basic items required to make most furniture and craft items.

One photo shows my lathe, which my grandfather used while my own father was still a teen. Now his great grand daughters use it to make pens, yoyo's, and other items.

Larry, this is a nice shop that you have. You have it pretty well organized and you have some nice tools in there to play with. It is also good to see you getting the girls involved as well. Sharing your knowledge and love of working with wood is a satisfying experience, I am sure.

Thanks for the pictures. It was fun to tour your shop.
