I should have made this or something like it a long time ago. Birch ply for the base, maple for the fence, and some pine to use as stand offs to build the base up. Mystery wood as end caps to protect the ends.
I make a lot of boxes and it's difficult to clamp small pieces on the bench and work the edges on them. Look at the last pic. With this sticking board I can work on piece as thin as 5/8" and up to 6" wide and 32" long. I can also work a slanted piece of stock if need be.
I use it mostly to make grooves and rabbets and it performs wonderfully.
